South Africa is hosting the Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, bringing together tourism leaders, exhibitors, and buyers from across the continent.
The annual tourism showcase continues to serve as one of Africa’s biggest travel marketing platforms, aimed at promoting African destinations, strengthening partnerships, and boosting economic growth through tourism.
Among the countries making a strong impression at the event are Cape Town, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, which have collaborated to promote tourism in Southern Africa.
Bainito Musumba expressed his excitement about being in South Africa and showcasing the services offered by Private Safaris East Africa.
“This year in September, Private Safaris East Africa will be celebrating 40 years of service in the safari and travel industry. The company is using the platform to highlight its contribution to East African tourism and its commitment to providing authentic African travel experiences,” he said.
Musumba said Africa’s Travel Indaba remains an important platform for connecting tourism businesses with international markets and investors while promoting Africa as a leading global tourism destination.
“Kenya continues to be recognised internationally for its iconic wildlife, national parks, scenic landscapes, and coastal attractions, making it one of the continent’s leading tourism destinations,” he said.
He concluded by saying that the celebration of four decades by Private Safaris East Africa reflects the resilience and continued growth of the African tourism sector as countries work together to increase visitor numbers and support economic development through tourism.
